Use T-code or L-code for a 63 V DC power port, and use S-code or K-code for an AC power port. The part pages opened October 20, 2026 split the current by coding and wire size. T-coded part 1408811 is 12 A at 63 V DC on 4 x 1.5 mm². L-coded part 1276572 is 16 A at 63 V DC on 5 x 2.5 mm². S-coded part 1193202 lists 12 A and a nominal 690 V AC, with a UL Listed line at 600 V and 12 A. K-coded part 1414781 lists 16 A and a nominal 690 V AC on 5 x 2.5 mm². Phoenix Contact's M12 Power brochure says codings with more than one pin count are not designed to intermate. Match the key on the device.

T-code and L-code are the 63 V DC pair

Part 1408811, as of October 20, 2026, is a 10 m PUR cable, unshielded, straight T-coded M12 plug to a straight T-coded socket. The page headline says direct current up to 12 A and 63 V. Electrical properties repeat 63 V DC and 12 A. Conductors are 4 x 1.5 mm², 16 AWG. Outside diameter is 6.75 mm plus or minus 0.2 mm. Wire colors are brown, white, blue, and black. The UL Listed line says 63 V, 12 A, 16 AWG, approval E468743. Fixed bend radius is 34 mm. Movable bend radius is 68 mm. Fixed cable temperature is -50°C to 85°C. Flexible cable temperature is -30°C to 85°C. Plug and socket temperature is -25°C to 85°C. Standard is IEC 61076-2-111. Minimum order quantity is 1. Country of origin is PL. Weight including packing is 870.5 g, and the page also lists 1,060 g excluding packing. Both weights were on the page on October 20, 2026.

Part 1276572 is the L-coded comparison at 16 A and 63 V DC, shielded, 5 positions, length 0.2 m to 40.0 m. The PUR option is 5 x 2.5 mm² and 9.50 mm outside diameter. The A-code comparison places that part with power cables. The brochure's DC table, opened the same day, lists T-code at 4 positions, 16 AWG, UL 12 A, 63 V DC, and L-code at 12 A on 16 AWG or 16 A on 14 AWG, including a 4+FE row. Part 1408811 matches the brochure's 12 A, 16 AWG T-code line. Part 1276572 matches the 16 A, 14 AWG L-code current. The brochure and the part page agree on those two currents.

S-code and K-code are the AC pair, with two voltage lines on S

Part 1193202, as of October 20, 2026, is a 1.2 m shielded PUR cable, orange RAL 2003, straight S-coded plug to an angled S-coded socket. The headline says AC up to 12 A and 690 V. Nominal voltage is 690 V AC. Nominal current is 12 A. Conductors are 4 x 1.5 mm², 16 AWG, colors black 1, black 2, black 3, and green-yellow. Outside diameter is 8.20 mm plus or minus 0.3 mm. Cable nominal voltage is 1,000 V AC. The UL Listed line says 600 V, 12 A, 16 AWG, file E468743. Minimum order quantity is 50, made to order. Standard is IEC 61076-2-111. IP65 is listed, and IP67 is listed as an additional test without preloading under IEC 60529. The 690 V nominal and the 600 V UL line are both printed. Use the approval the equipment requires, and keep both numbers on the request.

Part 1414781 is a 1.5 m shielded PVC cable, orange RAL 2003, free end to a straight K-coded socket. The headline says AC up to 16 A and 690 V. Nominal voltage is 690 V AC. Nominal current is 16 A. Conductors are 5 x 2.5 mm², 14 AWG, colors black 1 through black 4 and green-yellow. Outside diameter is 11.45 mm plus or minus 0.3 mm. Cable nominal voltage is 1,000 V AC or under. Fixed temperature is -40°C to 80°C. Flexible temperature is -20°C to 80°C. The page says made to order. The product page text read on October 20, 2026, does not include a UL voltage table for this item. The brochure's K-code summary says up to 16 A and 600 V AC, 4+PE, 14 AWG. Keep the part page's 690 V nominal and the brochure's 600 V summary as two sources. Ask which approval applies to 1414781.

How the brochure sorts the keys

The M12 Power brochure groups T and L as DC and S, K, and M as AC. Its summary lines are T up to 12 A at 63 V DC, L up to 16 A at 63 V DC, S up to 12 A at 600 V AC, K up to 16 A at 600 V AC, and M up to 8 A at 600 V AC. The specification table adds pin arrangements: S as 2+PE at 12 A and 300 V AC, and as 3+PE at 12 A and 600 V AC; K as 4+PE at 16 A and 600 V AC; M as 5+PE at 8 A and 600 V AC on 16 AWG. The brochure says those multiple pin counts are not designed to intermate. This guide did not open an M-code part page, so the 8 A M-code figure stays a brochure summary.

Part 1193202 has four positions and a green-yellow conductor, which lines up with the brochure's 3+PE S-code description, and its UL line is 600 V at 12 A. The part's nominal voltage is still 690 V AC. Part 1414781 has five positions, which lines up with 4+PE, at 16 A. Sensor A-code stays at the 4 A class on the sensor pages. D-code and X-code are data keys, not these power keys.

What to record before ordering

Record the coding on the device, the current, and whether the circuit is DC or AC. A 12 A DC port that is T-coded takes a T-coded cable such as 1408811. A 16 A DC port that is L-coded takes an L-coded cable such as 1276572. A 12 A AC port that is S-coded takes an S-coded cable, and the request should say whether the equipment is using the 690 V nominal or the 600 V UL line from 1193202.

  • Device port and coding letter.
  • DC or AC, and the voltage the equipment requires.
  • Current, and the wire size on the cable page.
  • Positions, including a protective earth if the device drawing shows one.
  • Shield, jacket, and length.
  • Minimum order, when the page prints one. Part 1193202 lists 50 as of October 20, 2026.

M12 power cable note

Record the coding on the device and the current the circuit needs.

This prepares a request. It does not send one.

Questions about voltage lines and mates

Why does one S-coded page list both 690 V and 600 V?

Part 1193202 prints 690 V AC as the nominal voltage and 600 V as the UL Listed voltage, both at 12 A. The brochure's S-code family line says up to 12 A at 600 V AC, and it also separates a 2+PE arrangement at 300 V AC from a 3+PE arrangement at 600 V AC. Write down the line your equipment requires. The page does not say the two voltages are interchangeable.

Can a T-coded plug mate with an L-coded socket?

The brochure says coding options are not designed to intermate when the pin counts differ, and these part pages label the keys T and L separately. Part 1408811 is 4-position T. Part 1276572 is 5-position L. Plan on matching key to key.

Where does M-code fit?

The brochure lists M-code at up to 8 A and 600 V AC, 5+PE, 16 AWG, for an AC circuit that also carries an auxiliary pair in that table. No M-code item number was opened for this guide. If the device is M-coded, use that item's page for the current and the voltage.
