Use 1414945 when the cable is a fixed 10 m halogen-free PUR M-code lead. Use 1276554 when the length is chosen from 0.2 m to 40.0 m, and name PUR or PVC on that item. Part 1414947 is the fixed 10 m PVC lead, and as of October 21, 2026 the page says it is no longer in the product range. All three pages list a nominal 690 V AC and 8 A, six positions, 6 x 1.5 mm², and 16 AWG. Each approvals table prints 600 V and 10 A. The family page opened the same day says M-coding supplies 5- and 6-pos. loads with up to 8 A and 690 V.

What the three item pages print in common

Each page, as of October 21, 2026, is a 6-position angled M12 plug, coding M, to a free cable end, for AC current up to 8 A and 690 V. Nominal voltage is 690 V AC. Nominal current is 8 A. The connector is unshielded. Degree of protection is IP65, and IP67 is listed as an additional test without preloading under IEC 60529. Plug and socket ambient temperature is -25°C to 85°C. The connector standard is IEC 61076-2-111. Conductors are 6 x 1.5 mm², AWG 16, colors black 1, black 2, black 3, black 4, black 5, and green/yellow. The order codes include PE. None of the three pages labels a conductor as an auxiliary contact.

On 1414945 and on 1276554, the approvals table prints the word keine in the name cell, then a row of 600 V and 10 A. The cross-section cells in that row print - 16. Part 1414947 prints the same 600 V and 10 A row. Write down the 690 V AC nominal and the 600 V approvals row. The T, L, S, and K comparison left M-code as a brochure line. These item pages are the figures to copy for an M-coded port.

1276554 is the length you enter

Part 1276554, as of October 21, 2026, is a variable cable type. Cable length is free input from 0.2 m to 40.0 m. The page carries both a PUR halogen-free black option and a PVC black option. Both options are 6 x 1.5 mm² and AWG 16, with the same black 1 through black 5 and green/yellow colors. Minimum order quantity is 1 pc. Country of origin is PL. Use this item when the route is not 10 m. Name the jacket on the request, because the construction figures below belong to one option or the other.

The PUR option matches the fixed PUR cable on the figures that page repeats: outside diameter 8.80 mm plus or minus 0.25 mm, conductor resistance at most 14.1 ohms per kilometer at 20°C, spark test at least 3000 V AC, smallest fixed bend radius 44 mm, fixed temperature -50°C to 85°C, and flexible temperature -30°C to 85°C. Conductor structure on that PUR block is 44 x 0.20 mm. Cable nominal voltage is at most 1000 V AC. Bend radii are also printed as 5 x D fixed and 10 x D flexible.

The PVC option on 1276554, as of October 21, 2026, lists UL AWM Style 2570 / 10914 (80°C/1000 V), outside diameter 9.75 mm plus or minus 0.25 mm, and conductor resistance at most 15 ohms per meter at 20°C. The PUR line on the same item is ohms per kilometer. Copy the unit the page prints for the jacket you are buying. Spark test on the PVC block is at least 10000 V AC. Smallest fixed bend radius is 49 mm. Fixed temperature is -40°C to 80°C. Flexible temperature is -20°C to 80°C. Cable nominal voltage is at most 1000 V AC.

1414947 is the fixed 10 m PVC cable, and the page retires it

Part 1414947, as of October 21, 2026, is SAC-6P-M12MRM/10,0-PVC PE, PVC, black-gray RAL 7021, 10 m, still described as AC up to 8 A and 690 V. The page says it is no longer in the product range and points to 1414945 and 1276554. Outside diameter is 9.75 mm plus or minus 0.25 mm. Conductor resistance is at most 15 ohms per meter at 20°C. UL AWM Style is 2570 / 10914 (80°C/1000 V). Spark test is at least 10000 V AC. Smallest fixed bend radius is 49 mm. Smallest movable bend radius is 98 mm. Fixed temperature is -40°C to 80°C. Flexible temperature is -20°C to 80°C. Oil resistance is DIN EN 60811-404, 168 hours at 60°C. Cable weight is 220 kg/km. Weight including packing and weight excluding packing are both 1,704 g.

A 10 m PVC build that has to stay in the current range goes through 1276554 with the PVC option, at a length of 10.0 m, which sits inside the 0.2 m to 40.0 m input. A 10 m PUR build is 1414945. The jacket choice is the temperature, the diameter, the oil-test temperature, and the resistance unit above. It is the same nominal 8 A and 690 V AC on the connector.

Phoenix Contact item pages opened October 21, 2026. Connector nominal is 690 V AC and 8 A on each row.

What to record for an M-coded port

Record the coding on the device, the item number, the jacket, and the length. A power-only M-code port at this 8 A and 690 V AC nominal takes one of the cables above. A port that also carries Ethernet in the same shell is a different key. The Y-code hybrid is that case. A-code sensor current is a lower current and a different key.

  • Device port and the letter M.
  • Item 1414945, item 1276554, or the item that replaced a retired number.
  • PUR or PVC, when 1276554 is the item.
  • Length. On 1276554 the page allows 0.2 m to 40.0 m, as of October 21, 2026.
  • Whether the equipment uses the 690 V AC nominal or the 600 V approvals row.
  • Six positions, 6 x 1.5 mm², 16 AWG, and the green/yellow conductor.

M12 M-code cable note

Record the M-code port and the item number. This file does not place an order.

This prepares a request. It does not send one.

Questions the item pages leave on the request

Which voltage goes on the request, 690 V or 600 V?

The headline and the nominal line are 690 V AC at 8 A. The approvals table is 600 V at 10 A, and on 1414945 and 1276554 the name cell printed keine on October 21, 2026. Those are two printed lines. The request should say which line the equipment requires.

Why is one resistance in ohms per kilometer and one in ohms per meter?

The PUR blocks on 1414945 and 1276554 print at most 14.1 ohms per kilometer at 20°C. The PVC blocks on 1276554 and 1414947 print at most 15 ohms per meter at 20°C. Copy the unit from the jacket block you are buying. This note does not convert one into the other.

Does this cover a 5-position M-code port?

The family page includes 5-position loads in the same 8 A and 690 V sentence. The three items opened here are 6-position. For a 5-position M-code device, use that item's page for the pin count and the current.
